Last year (Academic year 2016-17) the Naples Society of St. Vincent dePaul provided approximately $98,000 in financial help to students attending Catholic schools in Collier County. The Society is continuing its commitment to the education of our children in the 2017-2018 academic year. We will once again provide scholarships at all grade levels from elementary to high school.
These “in need” scholarships are available to children of families that are active parishioners at any one of the parishes that make up the Naples district of SVdP.
In addition, SVdP of Naples will award several merit scholarships for further Catholic education:
- Martin J. Carter Memorial Scholarship. The late Mr. Carter, a former Naples Council president, was a staunch supporter of Catholic education and a parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle church. This scholarship will be available to a “minority” student attending any one of the Catholic schools in Naples. His or her family must be active parishioners at St. Peter the Apostle.
- Lawrence F. Mills Award for Outstanding Service honors the late Mr.Mills, a former Naples Council president who was extremely dedicated to the service of others. Students from St. Ann School (1), St. Elizabeth Seton School (1), and St. John Neumann High School (1) are eligible for this award, that is based on exceptional service to the school and community.
Scholarship applications are now available and are due by April 15, 2017. You may print out and mail in the application below along with the signed FACTS form, essay or picture and a copy of the latest report card.
